What is Tagliatelle?
Tagliatelle is a classic egg pasta. A noodle with some heft you'll find it's the ideal base for everything from hearty meat sauces to white wine-infused alfredo, or light and Summery olive oil-based sauces.
Hailing from the Emilia-Romagna and Marche regions of Italy. According to legend, this ancient pasta was invented in 1487 to celebrate the betrothal of Lucrezia Borgia to Duke Alfonso D'Este. The chef, Mastro Zefirano created an unforgettable banquet complete with pasta said to resemble the golden tresses of Ms. Borgia. This new pasta came to be known as Tagliatelle!
